English 2: Catch-up day

Today, students got caught up on this week’s activities: Journals, OGTs, and reading. 

First, students responded to journal 15:

“Attitude… is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.  It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.”  Charles R. Swindoll; How has your attitude helped or hurt you? Explain.

Then, students read independently.  If you were absent, be sure to read for 20 minutes and submit a half-page summary of your reading for credit.

Thirdly, students answered OGT 17:

What kind of editing notation needs to be made below?

A popular debate these days, concnerns requirements for people over sixty to renew licesnses by passing actual driving tests again.

Finally, students answered OGT 16:
