English 2, Honors: Mellow Monday

Today, students were given the Grammar week 2 worksheet.  Students completed Monday’s assignment; if you were absent, show me Monday’s assignment when you return.  Then, students responded to today’s journal:

“And though she be but little, she is fierce.” –William Shakespeare; What positive thing about you is surprising?  When have you been surprised by the good in another person?  Explain.

Finally, students read independently for the remainder of class; if you were absent, be sure to read for 25 minutes and submit a half-page summary of what you read for reading credit.

Have a fabulous week,

English 2, Honors: A homerun yesterday

Hey, fabulous students!  Here’s today’s work from class.

Students completed the Wednesday grammar exercise found on the Week 1 Grammar Worksheet.

Then, students responded to journal 2, found below:

“Yesterday’s homeruns don’t win today’s games.” –Babe Ruth; We’ve all worked hard to learn something that later becomes easy; what are some examples for you?  What do you are learning that you’ll be naturally good at in the future?  Explain.

Then, students read independently for the remainder of the period. Students who were absent should be sure to show me the completed grammar exercise and journal upon return and should write a half-page summary of 25-minute independent reading for credit for today’s work.

Today was the last day to turn in summer reading!  Tomorrow, we’ll continue what we started on Tuesday.
